Fahy, Romero Announce $25,000 for Pride Center of the Capital Region
ALBANY, N.Y. — New York State Assemblymember Gabriella A. Romero (D, WFP) and State Senator Patricia Fahy (D, WF) today announced a combined $25,000 in state operating grants to support the Pride Center of the Capital Region's mental health and social programming for LGBTQIA+ youth. The funding will help expand essential services that provide safe spaces, strengthen community connections, and promote the emotional well-being of young people throughout the Capital Region.
The funding will support the Pride Center's efforts to expand youth programming through additional day trips, summer drop-in sessions, and year-round activities, including Friday evening social and support groups. These programs provide LGBTQIA+ youth with opportunities to build meaningful relationships, and access supportive environments.
